With the celebration of Black History Month on Jackie Washington Day, Feb 17/23, Garnetta has been invited to speak of some of her life experiences as a young black canadian girl growning up with, "in your face" rasicm, domestic violence, child abuse and how music has saved her soul. Garnetta also sings and writes music that reflects her survival and perserverence.
